Could this diagram work?!

Question:
Could this diagram work.?
I'm planning to buy a laptop; I need another router.

Currently I have this diagram:

[Computer]---[Virgin Cable Modem]---[Vonage wired router]---[Internet].

When I get laptop I will need this diagram:

[Computer]---[Virgin Cable Modem]---[Vonage wired router]---[Wireless Router]---[Internet].

Or

[Computer]---[Virgin Cable Modem]---[wireless router]---[Vonage wired router]---[Internet].

Will these work.?

If not then what I must need to do.?Q&A For PC

Answers:
close, but not quite. The wireless goes between the modem and the client, like this:
[Computer]---[wireless router]---[Virgin Cable Modem]---[Vonage wired router]---[Internet]

In other words, the wireless is at the end of the chain.Q&A For PC

Why don't you do this...

[Computer]--via ethernet cable--[wireless router with built in modem]---[Internet].

and then

[Laptop]--via wifi--[wireless router with built in modem]---[internet]

Makes more sense to just get a wireless router with a built in modem (as most are now days anyway) and use that for both laptop and computer.Q&A For PC

Get rid of the wired router you only need the wireless one. This will have ethernet ports in it so you can connect computers to it wired if you wish. Then you connect cable modem into the incoming cable, then router into the modem, then computer into the router by wire and laptop by wirelessQ&A For PC

You got it backwards, it's ISP cable[ cable modem], then [wireless router(d-link$19.05)] then all the computers you want(with network adapter's).Q&A For PC

what do you mean.?Q&A For PC
