Question about system recovery For windows Vista?!

Question:
Question about system recovery For windows Vista.?
Is it wise to do software and hardware reinstallation in my case.?

I'm doing a system recovery because my computer has a virus that is causing my programs to not work on command and making my internet to not be fully connected even though my modem and router are working fine. I've scanned and quarentined with an anti-virus but the problems still persist. Also, startup is slow. Otherwise my computer is okay. I have my serial number all ready.

Answers:
System Restore would probably solve your problem.
Try that first.
If you still can't get your computer to work, you can do a system recovery using the inbuilt recovery drive if you have one. Press F11 while restarting.
A complete wipe and reinstall is needed if you do not have that recovery drive. You need the Windows Vista installer CD to do that.Q&A For PC

system recovery is not the same thing as reformating, what happens is you do system recovery and it lets you choose a checkpoint that the comp saved all data, for example 1 month ago. then it will do some stuff reboot and your comp will be like as it were 1 month ago, so the virus wudnt be there anymore, its kinda like time travel. what your thinking is reformating where you put a vista cd in totally wipe everything clean and install a fresh copyQ&A For PC
